A distinct west-east split is revealed when it comes to the London boroughs with the highest average earnings.
West London is the very clear leader, taking six spots in the top 10 of high-earning places in the capital.
The only east London area to feature is not surprisingly the City of London.
Kensington and Chelsea’s prominence is heavily influenced by its preponderance of multimillionaire residents. The median income in the borough is much lower, at £27,500.
1. Kensington and Chelsea £151,000 average earnings
2. City of London £102,000
3. Westminster £82,600
4. Camden £69,800
5. Richmond upon Thames £59,600
6. Wandsworth £49,500
