Highly decorated bras were the order of the night, inspired by the rock and punk designs.

Among the thousands of walkers were Absolutely Fabulous star Jennifer Saunders and Karen Hassan from TV’s HollyOaks.

The women, and men, raised around £2m for charities battling the disease at the event, organised by Walk the Walk.

Comedian Jennifer Saunders survived cancer and was taking part in the event again. She said: “I found it easier this time that the last two times but I still have sausage fingers”

Harriet Thorpe Trustee of Walk the Walk said: “The brilliance of Walk the Walk is its simplicity which makes it accessible to all no matter how old, how young we can all do it together”

Nina Barough, Founder and Chief Executive of Walk the Walk said; “It made a real difference, it was wonderful to be with all these people with such amazing energy”
