Rather than relying on nostalgia from being a focal point of the swinging 60s, businesses in Carnaby in London are using modern methods to draw crowds to the area.
To celebrate the range of food and drink on offer, a new game called Carnabingo has been launched.
Throughout June people are being invited to pick up a Carnabingo card in one of the 16 participating bars, restaurants and cafés, or download a copy at carnaby.co.uk
Then they need to order one of the dishes or drinks featured on the card, ranging from pie and mash to a glass of wine, and take a snap on their smartphone.
Participants tweet each picture to @CarnabyLondon using the hashtag #carnabingo and once they have tweeted four venues in a row from the card, using the additional hashtag #4inarow they win a prize, which include a £50 goodie bag, lunch for two or a coffee school lesson.
On completing the full card, and suing the extra hashtag #fullhouse, people are entered into a prize draw to win a luxury prize including a night in the Soho Sanctum Hotel and dinner for two.
