Youngsters headed to the woods and transformed themselves into different characters as part of a summer parks event.
The children enjoyed a Costumes and Drama activity session at Mayesbrook Park in Dagenham yesterday.
They dressed up as different characters and acted out mini playes in the wooded area of the park.
The borough’s parks host a number of regular free events for adults and children. On Saturday families can enjoy afternoon tea and scones in Mayesbrook Park from 12pm to 1.30pm and a Big Bug Hunt for children on Tuesday from 12pm. Barking Park is holding a Paws in the Park dog event on Saturday and Eastbrookend Country Park is holding a GPS Trailfinders event next Wednesday.
