Detectives are appealing for help to trace a man wanted on suspicion of rape in connection with an incident in south London last year.
Officers from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are keen to speak to Alieu Diallo, 25 in relation to an allegation of rape in the early hours of Sunday, October 21, 2012.
They have released a photo of the suspect, who is known to spend time in east London.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Service said: “He is a black man believed to be from West Africa and also uses the names Amadu Jalloh and Alieu Galloh.
“Police wish to speak to him after a 27-year-old woman was raped at an unknown address, but believed to be in the Southwark area.”
He said the victim reported the matter to officers the following day, who have conducted extensive enquiries since the allegation was made, leading to officers now wishing to trace Mr Diallo.
The spokesman said the 25-year-old has previously frequented the Peckham, East Dulwich, Old Kent Road and Leyton areas of London.
