Aylward Academy pupil Leroy James was stabbed to death after a clash between a large number of youths at Ponders End recreation ground in Enfield, north London, on August 17 last year.

Leroy, from Edmonton, was found slumped against a wall in a pool of blood at the park. He died from a single stab wound.

At the Old Bailey, a 15-year-old youth denies murder and having an offensive weapon. He was 14 at the time of the attack.

Leroy’s father described his son, an Arsenal fan and aspiring footballer, as “quiet”.
