Osman Bangura stabbed Yemurai Kanyangarara in the neck in a tit-for-tat battle between rival schools.

Yemurai, of St Columba’s Catholic Boys’ School in Bexleyheath, was attacked after getting off a bus in Welling, south-east London, in July last year.

After the attack Bangura went to Plumstead police station to help officers solve an attack in which his head had been cut.

The Old Bailey heard that killer Bangura was so calm and co-operative that a detective gave him a lift home to Peckham, south London.

“This young man coolly went through the procedures of identifying those who had attacked him,” said Peter Finnigan QC, for the prosecution

“There was nothing in his demeanour to alert the police officer he had just been involved in this dreadful incident.”
