Arrest after man injured in Dagenham shooting

A 21-year-old man has been arrested following a shooting in Dagenham that left another wounded.

A 20-year-old victim was taken to The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel after the incident on November 26 with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

He continues to receive treatment for the injury, which was not life threatening.

The suspect, from Romford, is on bail for the offence until January next year.

Officers from Operation Trident — the Met’s specialist unit tackling gang crime — are investigating the incident.
