The three men and one woman were arrested yesterday as protesters were evicted from Leyton Marshes, where a temporary basketball facility is being constructed for the Olympics.

They have all been charged with breaching Section 14 of the Public Order Act and are due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court today.

All four are of no fixed abode. Two, Simon Peter Carleton, 29, and Daniel William Ashman, 27, are care workers.

Anita Olivacce, 25, and Connor Murray, 24, are both unemployed.
