A fan of boyband One Direction has allegedly sent a knife threat to Caroline Flack, who previously dated band member Harry Styles.

The presenter of TV show Xtra Factor has complained to the police after allegedly being sent a menacing picture of a teenage girl holding a six-inch knife.

The message was apparently sent via the twitter username @harmonynostrils69 - which has since been deleted.

A friend told The Sun newspaper: “Caroline was shocked” while police have said “we’re investigating”.

This is a new blow for Caroline after a man accused of stalking her for three months was recently arrested.

The 39-year-old man - who has not been named – was questioned after he reportedly kept turning up at the Xtra Factor presenter’s workplace to give her gifts.

Following his arrest he has been bailed until August by police.
