The Metro, in Holloway Road, will be torn down and a 40 metre tower, containing 212 flats, will be built after Islington Council planners nodded the plan through last Thursday.

The pub has been popular with students form nearby London Metropolitan University for many years and used to be known as both Spoofers, and The Holloway.
