An attack on the anti-terrorist phone hotline at Scotland Yard by hacking group TeaMp0isoN was motivated in part by the extradition of terror suspect Babar Ahmad, claimed the group’s leader, Trick.

Calls to the Metropolitan Police’s hotline were recorded and posted on video-sharing site Youtube. Calls between anti-terror officers were also recorded by the group.

Getting around the security systems in place at Metropolitan Police headquarters was “easy” claimed Trick.

An investigation is underway by police into the incidents, which were carried out via a server in Malaysia.

Explaining why the ‘hacktivist’ group targeted the UK, Trick said: ““We done it due to the recent events where the counter-terrorist command and the UK court system have allowed the extradition of Babar Ahmad, Adel Abdel Bary and a few others... we also done it to due the new ‘snooping’ laws where the GCHQ can ‘spy’ on anyone and everyone.”

Barbar Admad is among five terror suspects who European judges ruled can be extradited from the UK to America to face trial.
