A man has been charged with the murder of a Yeading teenager who was found dead more than 30 years ago.

Colin Frederick Campbell, 65, previously of the Southall and Acton areas of west London, will appear at Slough Magistrates’ Court next Tuesday.

The body of Claire Woolterton, 17, was found by a passer-by on a towpath alongside Barry Avenue in Windsor on August 28, 1981.

The charge follows a re-investigation of the case by Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Review Team.
