Man slumped in car in Perivale ‘had accident before death’ near A40

13:28 06 May 2012

Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information after a man died slumped in his car near the A40 in Perivale, west London.

Police were called on Thursday afternoon to a slip road onto the A40 at Argyle Road.

A 56-year-old man was found in a black Alfa Romeo car and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as heart disease.

Police say two men were involved in an incident on the London/eastbound slip road of the A40 at around 4pm on Thursday, which would have been visible form the A40 itself.

Detectives believe one of the men involved was the deceased and they are keen to trace anyone involved and also speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 020 8721 7062 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
