Police and paramedics attended the scene in Elephant and Castle at around 12.45pm to find a 20-year-old man lying in the entrance of the court with a single stab wound to the stomach.

The victim was taken to a south London hospital where he is currently in a non-life threatening condition.

Metropolitan Police said they were now seeking “a group of males seen fleeing the scene”. No arrests have been made.

A spokesman for Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service confirmed an incident had taken place but said it was now a matter for the police.
