A man has died after he was fatally injured in a fight in Hackney.

Police and paramedics were called to an address in Pembury Close at around 10.40pm yesterday to find the victim, 40, suffering from serious injuries.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have yet to be informed. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

Police said a 38-year-old man was taken to hospital and arrested in connection with the incident. A woman, 38, was also detained.
