A man arrested this morning by police investigating allegations of historical sexual abuse has been bailed.
Officers arrested the 65-year-old at an address in south London on suspicion of sexual offences.
He has now been bailed to return on an unconfirmed date in April pending further inquiries. The arrest was made as part of Operation Yewtree, the Met Police inquiry into allegations of sexual assaults by Jimmy Savile and others.
Today’s arrest falls under the strand of the investigation the Met has termed ‘others’, the part of the inquiry looking at complaints against people who are not connected to the late BBC presenter.
