People who bought fake drugs believing it to be MDMA have been left in hospital after a warehouse party in Beckton, east London.

Police are warning members of the public who attended the party in Hillcroft Road, Beckton on Friday who bought the substance not to take it.

People reported extreme adverse effects and have fallen extremely ill,police said.

A Met spokesman said: “We strongly advise anyone who bought drugs at the party not to take these as the consequences could be potentially life threatening.”

Anyone with information can call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police are still trying to identify who supplied the substance.
