Two people have been arrested and charged with assault after a 78-year-old man was left with brutal injuries.

Police were called to Widmore Road, Bromley on October 15 at 12.05am where they discovered the elderly victim.

Investigating officer DC Rosmarie Lee, said: “This was an unprovoked and sustained attack on an elderly gentleman.

“He was so shocked that he agreed to a picture of his injuries being released as part of our witness appeal and investigation into the assault. We want to hear from anyone with information about this incident or who was in the area at the time.”

A man aged 18 and a 19-year-old woman have been arrested and charged with assault.
