Police have seized a quantity of class A and B drugs after raiding student halls on a university campus in Northwick Park.

Officers stormed 44 rooms at the University of Westminster where they recovered the drugs and arrested a number of students.

The raids are a culmination of an operation between Northwick Park Safer Neighbourhood Team and the university targeting suspected drug users and dealers on campus.

A number of students received formal warnings for drug offences and further arrests are expected to be made in the next few days.

PC Dan King from Northwick Park SNT said: “We have shown that any form of drugs culture at the university will not be tolerated by the university or the Metropolitan Police and that we will take positive action with any intelligence we receive.”
