A man was abused in the street and then punched in the face by a man carrying a can of lager in an unprovoked and racially-motivated attack in north London.
Police are making an appeal for witnesses to come forward after the incident in Northwold Road, Stoke Newington a week ago.
A spokesman for the Met said the victim, a 34-year-old of Pakistani decent, was walking down the street around 11.50pm on Monday, November 25.
He was approached by a man who made racial remarks and then punched the victim in the face before running off towards Stoke Newington High Street, police said.
The suspect is described as a white man of slim build, clean shaven, and approximately 5ft 9ins tall, aged between 40 and 50-years-old.
The victim said he was wearing dark clothing at the time of the attack and was carrying a can of lager.
