Seven teenagers have been charged with offences during last summer’s riots in Tottenham after yesterday’s dawn raids.

Six of the teenagers were arrested during two waves of early morning raids at 11 addresses across Haringey, Hackney, Walthamstow and Enfield in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The last boy - a 15-year-old from Hornsey - was arrested at a north London police station later the same day.

Officers from Operation Withern believe they were all involved in the early stages of the riots in Tottenham on August 6 and 7 last year.

Unemployed Leanne Mills, 19, of Lansdowne Road, Tottenham, is charged with burglary amd will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on June 13.

Student Dean Suragh, 19, of Kitchener Road, Tottenham, is also charged with burglary, but will appear at the same court in custody on June 1 with unemployed Shaun O’Neil, 18, of Griffin Road, Tottenham, charged with robbery, and violent disorder.

The 15-year-old student from Hornsey has also been remanded in custody to appear on the same date charged with burglary and violent disorder.

Also appearing with the three Haringey teenagers on June 1 are a 17-year-old student of Palmers Green who has been charged with violent disorder; a 17-year-old student from Stoke Newington charged with burglary and violent disorder and a 17-year-old student from Chingford, who has been charged with two counts of burglary and violent disorder.
