WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange spent a second night at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, last night.

Reports say that a decision on his request for political asylum will be made today by Ecuador.

The 40-year-old Australian fled inside the building in Knightsbridge on Tuesday afternoon.

He faces being extradited to Sweden to face sex crime charges under a European arrest warrant.

The Wikileaks founder is accused of raping one woman and sexually molesting another in Stockholm in 2010.

The South American country, whose UK ambassador Anna Alban met the Government yesterday morning, says he is under its protection while it considers the application.
