Women warned to be “vigilant” after serious sexual assault in Hackney

Police are warning women to “remain vigilant” after a woman was subjected to a serious sexual assault in south Hackney.

The woman was attacked in Banbury Road last Monday (June 4) just after midnight.

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses, and a Hackney Police spokeswoman said: “Police are advising any lone females in the immediate area to remain vigilant.”
