Crouch Enders were able to get a sneak peak at some of the artwork on show at this weekend’s annual open studio event at a special exhibition.
The painters, sculptors and designers have been welcoming the public to their group show Points of Departure, giving art enthusiasts a taste of what they can expect from this year’s Crouch End Open Studios (CREOS).
The exhibition at the Original Gallery, Hornsey Library, features work from every one of the artists taking part in the event, which will see various venues across Crouch End throw open their doors on Saturday and Sunday, from noon until 6pm.
Some of the many highlights this weekend include Kim Valdez’s bags made from the stems of palm leaves, which have been stripped, dyed and tightly woven, and Suzie Zamit’s sculptures of “human and animal forms”.
