Building Lives Training Academy, Hackney, offers young people aged 16 or over a construction training course.

The 48 participants who prove themselves during the initial training stages will be offered a paid apprenticeship with Hackney Homes’ Decent Homes contractors Mullaley, Mansell or Lakehouse.

The three-stage training programme begins in August and comprises a five-day back to work taster, a ten-week, two days per week BTEC Level 1 in Construction qualification and a one year NVQ Level 2 Framework Maintenance Operations Apprenticeship.

Interviews take place next Wednesday, July 18, at The Redmond Community Centre, Kayani Avenue, London N4 2HF and the Back to Work sessions begin on August 6. To apply contact Zakaria on 020 8356 7589 or woodberryworks@mhdt.org.uk
