Five-year-old boy dies after Wembley van collision

A five-year-old boy has died after a collision with a white Ford Transit van in Wembley today.

The child was seriously injured after the incident in Empire Way, which took place at around 4.45pm.

Police, the London Ambulance Service, and the London Air Ambulance attended the scene and the boy was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he later died.

His next of kin has been told.

The Metropolitan Police said the driver stopped at the scene. No arrests have been made.

An investigation is under way. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact officers on 020 8842 1817.
