Archant

In cut down official Torchbearer top, singer/actress Paloma Faith surprised onlookers by taking over Torchbearer duties at the Newham Mayor’s Show.

It was the platinum album star’s birthday and the crowds sang Happy Birthday as she held the torch aloft on stage where she is expected to perform later.

Paloma with torch ran through the park and out into High Street South, later passing the flame onto another runner.
