Jessie J was “blown away” by the London Olympics closing ceremony, the pop star admitted.
She performed solo on stage and also with Queen – in the role of legendary front man Freddie Mercury.
Performing We Will Rock You with Brian May and the other surviving members of the band was the centrepiece of her contribution to the ceremony.
Taking to Twitter, Jessie wrote: “’I’m in shock right now. Tonight is a night to always remember and never forget. Blown away!! #london2012”
“Oh what a night! So proud to represent the UK! Congratulations to everyone! Booooooom! (sic)”
London brought the curtain down on the Olympics with a musical extravaganza at the stadium, in Stratford.
It was a noisy and joyful romp through popular music from the past 50 years.
Speaking at the event, IOC chief Jacques Rogge labelled London 2012 “happy and glorious Games.”
