Man found hanging from children’s climbing frame in park named

A man found hanging from a children’s climbing frame in a park has been identified.

Police found Dean Moriarty, of Harpley Square, Whitechapel, on Wednesday morning in Canning Town Recreation Ground, Freemasons Road, Custom House.

Officers were called by a member of the public who reported seeing a body hanging from a piece of climbing equipment in the children’s play area.

The park was closed after the discovery.

Although paramedics arrived at the scene the man was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating the death, which is being treated as non-suspicious.
