If the streets on the classic Monopoly board were shuffled around to reflect modern-day property prices, the order of the locations would change drastically.

While Mayfair would remain the top priced place on the board and Old Kent Road the cheapest, the coloured groups of properties between them would look very different.

Of the real-life locations, Marlborough Street is the highest climber since the game was first released in the 1930s, with the average house value nearly 7,000 times what the street was priced at on the original board.

Most expensive Monopoly locations based on current house prices:

1. Mayfair £2,102,583

2. Oxford Street £1,309,375

3. Marlborough Street £1,257,700

4. Park Lane £919,138

5. Bow Street £768,200

6. Piccadilly £738,531

7. Pall Mall £651,313

8. Regent Street £510,222

9. Strand £472,929

10. Fleet Street £366,244
