A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman found in a car in Stonebridge with stab wounds.
Police were called at around 11.10pm on Saturday and found the 32-year-old seriously injured in the car in Wyborne Way.
She was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds.
Officers believe they known the identity of the dead woman, but are awaiting formal identification. Next of kin have been informed.
An incident room has opened at Putney under Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Wall from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command (HSCC).
DCI Wall said: “We are keen to her from anyone who was in or around the Wyborne Way area around 11pm Saturday night.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone in and around the surrounding area after the incident that may have seen anyone acting suspiciously.”
Three men have been arrested in connection with the death. Two, aged 30 and 41, are currently in custody at separate north London police stations. The third has been released with no further action.
