The death of a black bus driver will be investigated again by police, after complaints from his family.
Kester David’s charred body was discovered under a railway arch in Enfield, north London, in July 2010.
The original probe by officers led to calls by the 53-year-old’s family for an independent inquiry over a catalogue of errors and accusations of racism.
“The results of those reviews remain under consideration and detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are to reinvestigate,” a police spokesman told the BBC.
“They retain an open mind about the circumstances of Mr David’s death.
“Officers will be in close contact with the family throughout the investigation to discuss its progress with them.”
