A man who drowned in a diving incident off the coast of Suffolk last week has been named by police as Christopher Vanstone from Brixton.
The 49-year-old was airlifted to the James Paget hospital in Norfolk on Friday afternoon but was pronounced dead on arrival.
A post mortem examination carried out at the hospital at the weekend confirmed that Mr Vanstone died from drowning off Lowestoft, Suffolk.
A Suffolk Police spokeswoman said: “Evidence secured by police show there are no suspicious circumstances and that his fellow divers, and those on board the boat, made extensive efforts to save his life.
“The incident continues to be investigated on behalf of the coroner and an inquest will be held in due course.”
