Work is underway on the first neighbourhood to be built on the Olympic Park.
Residents and businesses in east London are being asked to give their views on Chobham Manor, which is located on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park between the East Village and Lee Valley VeloPark.
The first properties are due to be ready by the end of 2014 and the development will include 850 homes, community facilities, shops and public open space.
It is the first of five residential developments that will be built on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Chobham Manor will be developed by the construction company, Taylor Wimpey and the housing association, London and Quadrant (L&Q).
Sebastian Balcombe, the planning manager for Taylor Wimpey East London, said: “Not only can people come along and see our plans for Chobham Manor, but they’ll have the chance to shape what the areas of public open space will be like.
“Also, during construction there will be plenty of land across the site waiting to be developed. Rather than letting this land lie dormant, we would like to see it in use.”
The public consultation meetings will be held at Chandos East Hub in Chandos Road, Leyton, on Thursday, January 31 between 6.30pm and 8.30pm and Monday, February 4 from 10am to 12pm and 2pm until 6pm.
