Patients interview staff for Beckton hospital

Recovering drug addicts and mental health patients are interviewing staff to work at their hospital in Beckton.

Cygnet Health Care, an addiction and mental health facility in Tunnan Leys, have been invited to take part in the recruitment of nurses, social therapists, and support workers who will be delivering their care.

Nicky McLeod, CEO of Cygnet Health Care, said: “Our first priority is always making sure we provide the best care to each person who seeks our support.

“By enabling service users to have the opportunity to interview potential new employees, we let them play a key role in shaping the future of our services.”

Cygnet Health Care are the NHS’s largest independent provider of intensive care mental health and heroin detox services.
