Pensioner dies following robbery in Greenford

An elderly woman has died following reports of a robbery in Greenford.

Police were called at around 3.50pm yesterday to an alleyway off Oldfield Lane to find the victim injured.

She was taken by ambulance to a west London hospital before being transferred to a hospital in central London. She was pronounced dead at around 2.15am.

Her next of kin has been informed and post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.

No arrests have been made.
