Pippa Middleton completed a 56-mile cross country ski marathon to raise money for a children’s charity.

The busy sister of the Duchess of Cambridge took time out from her party organising activities to take part in the adventure through the snowy course.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister took part in the event, held in Sweden, with nearly 16,000 others - including her brother James - and finished 412th in the women’s category.

Chelsea girl Miss Middleton finished the Vasaloppet ski race in just over seven hours. She told Swedish broadcaster SVT she had only prepared for the race for “a couple of weekends”.
