Police are urgently trying to track the relatives of a 57-year-old who was killed after being struck by a train near Ilford rail station.
Anthony Charters was pronounced dead at the scene on June 1 in an incident which is being treated as non-suspicious.
Gary Mathias, British Transport Police’s coroner’s liaison officer said Mr Charters had been identified by his fingerprints but no recent known address was recorded for him.
He said: “Despite an extensive search within Essex, London, the south east and Manchester, where Mr Charters was born, we’ve so far been unable to trace any relatives.
“It is important that we trace Mr Charters’ family and inform them of this incident.
“If you have any information, however small, which could assist us in tracing his relatives, please get in touch.”
