Knight Rider’s crime-fighting car was known for its ability to drive itself and withstand explosions, gunfire and lasers – but even Michael Knight hadn’t reckoned on the Romford sunshine.
This replica of KITT, the modified Pontiac Firebird from the classic 1980s TV series, was spotted after it ran – or drove – into trouble as things hotted up in Havering last week.
As Romford was treated to a glimpse of the artificially intelligent cybertronics beneath KITT’s bonnet, the car’s nemesis may have fared better. KARR’s part-silver paint job would have helped him resist the sun’s dastardly rays for longer than all-black “inferior production line model” KITT.
