A dog took a solo train ride into London from Kent in a journey captured on video.
Frankie the Jack Russell decided to go on an adventure by giving his owner the slip at home in Gravesend.
Having made the 1.6 mile-long walk to the station he jumped on board on a service heading for the capital city.
Unfortunately, birthday boy Frankie did not make it out of St Pancras station, the final destination.
Train manager Richard Cheeseman attached a lead and then set about reuniting the hound with his owner.
Worried Jane Abbott was delighted to get Frankie back, thanks to a contact number on his collar.
“I normally get greeted by Frankie when I get up, but not this morning. I looked all over the house and the garden but there was no sign of him …
“What we don’t understand is why Frankie chose rail. He’s never been on a train before.”
