Redevelopment coming to Bexleyheath town centre

Bexleyheath town centre will undergo major redevelopment after the Paralympics.
Work is due to start on September 10 and covers the Albion Road approach to Trinity Place, the non-pedestrian areas of The Broadway and Arnsberg Way.
This includes high-quality paving, better lighting, a new roundabout in front of Oakland car park and the removal of traffic lights along Arnsberg Way as junctions get redesigned.
Transport for London are providing £3.5 million towards the project.
Cllr Gareth Bacon said: “This scheme will help revitalise Bexleyheath.
“It has been developed with input from local residents and business people to make the town an even better place.”
The work is expected to take until next June to complete. While it is being carried out traffic will be diverted easterly along the Broadway and Arnsberg Way and along Albion Road in the other direction.
