Portuguese hails character of his team-mates
West Ham’s play-off hero Ricardo Vaz Te believes the Hammers are back where they belong- in the Premier League.
The January signing from Barnsley scored the winner three minutes before full-time to secure a 2-1 win for the east Londoners.
“It was perfect, it was a great team effort,” he told Sky Sports. “We showed tremendous character.
“We deserve to be in the Premier League, we are a Premier League side.”
And Vaz Te believes the Hammers must aim high and avoid another relegation dog fight.
“It’s a big challenge,” he added. “We must go there with the mentality of a Premier League side and not fight for relegation.
“West Ham are a massive club and we will give it out best.”
