Victoria line drivers to strike next Tuesday

Tube drivers on the Victoria are to strike for six hours one evening next week, in a row over working conditions.
Between 9pm on Tuesday and 3am on Wednesday, members of the Rail and Maritime Transport (RMT) union will be taking the industrial action.
Transport for London said, although there would be disruption, it would be minimal. A spokesman confirmed the action would affect just six trains or fewer.
Peter McNaught, London Underground Operations Director, said: “All of the matters the RMT raised with us have been discussed and resolved through our internal processes, and at a meeting on 11 September no additional issues were raised by the union.
“Less than half of those balloted chose to vote in any way, and just 39 per cent of those balloted have voted for industrial action.
“If the union feels there are still issues to discuss then they should keep talking to us so that things can be resolved properly.”
