They were there to keep law and order, but that didn’t stop a group of Metropolitan Police officers from joining in with the fun of the Notting Hill Carnival.
A clip of three police officers showing off their dance moves to a crowd of carnival-goers on Sunday was uploaded to YouTube by user joeyyhh.
The film, which is just over four minutes long, first shows an officer making a space in a crowd of people before dancing for a few seconds, cheered on by people who ask that he dances again.
Members of the crowd dance up to the officer, who then collaborates with his colleagues, who take to the ‘dance floor’.
Other police officers can be seen among those in the crowd filming the routine on their mobile phone.
