Shoreditch Fire

A HUGE blaze which tore through a number of buildings began in a Shoreditch restaurant, police say.

Sosho Restaurant on Tabernacle Street was the starting point for the fire which needed 100 firefighters to get it under control after it began at around 4.30am.

Tabernacle Street and City Road from Old Street to Finsbury Square remain closed and there are partial closures to Worship Street, Paul Street and Bonhill Street.

There are no injuries reported and the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
