Retired private investigator arrested in Yard hacking probe

The Metropolitan Police this morning arrested a retired private investigator as part of a probe into computer hacking by journalists.
Officers from Operation Tuleta - one of three investigations including operations Elveden and Weeting set up following allegations of phone hacking at News International - arrested the the 58-year-old at his home in Reading at around 7.45am this morning, Scotland Yard said.
He is being held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit an unauthorised act with the intent to impair the operation of a computer.
Operation Tuleta is a Met investigation into criminal intrusions of individual privacy for journalistic purposes.
It covers offences not under the remit of Operation Weeting, the phone hacking probe, and Operation Elveden, an investigation into corrupt payments.
