AFC Wimbledon injury doubt ahead of Rochester clash

AFC Wimbledon defender Dale Bennett could miss their game against Rochester this Saturday with injury.

The 22-year-old, on loan from Watford, had to be take off at half-time of the Don’s 2-0 defeat against Northampton on Saturday.

Dons manager Terry Brown said: “Losing Dale Bennett half-time was a big blow.

“He’s a big, strong player and very important to us winning the ball.

“In other areas of the park we did okay but you have to be able to cope with the ball into the box and we didn’t do that.

“We’ve got a squad here which won’t change for next Saturday so we need to defend much better than that.”
