Lil Fuccillo was unhappy that Curtis Osano decided to chase his Football League dream by joining the Dons, believing he’d be better placed at the Blue Square Bet Premier side.

Luton Town technical director Lil Fuccillo has blasted AFC Wimbledon’s new signing Curtis Osano, believing he would be better off at the Hatters.

The centre back signed for the League Two Dons last week, becoming Terry Brown’s first summer signing and his decision has angered the Bedfordshire club, who missed out on a place in the Football League after losing to York in the play-off final.

“He`s signed for Wimbledon and I don`t think he signed for much more (than Luton were offering), which surprises us, because, no disrespect, I think he`d have grown better with us than at Wimbledon,” Fuccillo told the Bedfordshire News.

“He had his choice and they have a freedom of contract. We can go to another club and if a player is over 24 we can grab them if they want to sign for us.”

“That`s where most clubs look, especially at our level. No doubt their directors have come forward and put the money in.”
