Jack Midson was unhappy after his side were beaten by Woking

AFC Wimbledon star Jack Midson believes that he and his side must do better.

The Dons were beaten by Working last night although the striker was on the scoresheet.

“Looking at the goals we conceded and the chances we created, it was disappointing,” Midson told Radio WDON.

“We need to try and gel and get that continuity with the new players.

“Terry and Simon said afterwards that we have a lot of work to do.

“We have to work hard in all areas, but we will put the effort in, and we will be alright for the start of the season.”

The striker knows that he does not have a starting spot guaranteed for the coming season.

“I am not guaranteed to start myself, so I need to work hard in training, keep scoring goals and creating chances,” he added.

“I had my first 90 minutes and I am not saying that I felt great because I am tired. But I am glad to have done it as physically and mentally you know you need to get it out the way.

“The games coming up will be real tests for us and we need to be better than we were tonight.”
